We offer travel clinic appointments with our practice nurses where they give advice on the necessary precautions you may need to take before you go on your holiday or trip abroad.
You should consult with the practice nurse at least eight weeks prior to the departure date in order for you to be given adequate advice and protection. On occasions, vaccines can be of limited supplies or be unavailable.
Please be aware there may not be nurses’ appointments available on the week you call so allow sufficient time for an appointment to be booked. The surgery cannot be held responsible if these guidelines are not adhered to.
If an appointment is not available, we will sign-post the traveller to an appropriate Travel Clinic.
At the time of making your appointment you need to inform us your dates of travel, the country or countries and all areas in that country you are visiting. You will be provided with a travel administration card detailing what travel vaccinations you have been given. This card is for you to keep for future updates and reference to keep you safe for any further travel. There is a £10 administration charge per traveller.
You can visit a website for information on the country or countries being visited and vaccinations required at www.Fitfortravel.
