Clinical Pharmacists

We have a two Clinical Pharmacists; Babatunde Onilari and Rahil Bhatt, employed by Stevenage South PCN, working here at Bedwell 3 days a week. Their skills vary from Medicines Management (including Structured Medication Reviews) through to Minor Illness and Chronic Disease Management.

Clinical pharmacists are experts in managing medicines and are important members of the multidisciplinary team (range of healthcare professionals) within primary care who manage your medication.

Medicine's safety is becoming more and more of a talking point in the healthcare landscape and quite rightly so.

With patients taking a variety of medications, and some with complicated comorbidities (multiple conditions), the impact and administration of these medicines need to be reviewed in much more detail. This is referred to as a Structured Medication Review.

Structured Medication Reviews are designed to optimise patient outcomes and better manage medicine, including intervening on medications that may be causing side effects.
