Patient Participation Group

As part of the Patient Led NHS agenda Bedwell Medical Centre and the Roebuck Surgery are fortunate to have a Patient Participation Group (PPG). This group has been running since 2011 and we discuss the services provided by the practice.

We value your views on what is being done in the surgery, and also your suggestions for improving the service given.

The key purposes and aims of the group will be:

to develop a structure that gains the views of the patients and enables the practice to obtain feedback from the patient population
agree areas of priority with the group
collate patient views through patient surveys
help patients take more responsibility for their own health and wellbeing
agree an action plan with the patient group
publicise the actions taken and what has been achieved as a result
work collaboratively with our PCN and ICB

The PPG group would love to have new members with new ideas.

We are keen for as wide a variety of patients as possible to join our Patient Participation Group. The group have been running since September 2011 and they meet approximately every 8 weeks. The group is a very friendly bunch and would welcome any new members. Some of the patients attend every meeting and some patients prefer to communicate by email (virtual members). Please complete a slip at reception if you are interested in becoming a member or simply turn up, we would love to see you.
